U.S. Slalom Nationals – 2017

Cheetah Oils knows a thing or two (or three) about the importance of bearing lubrication.  These cats make some pretty slick stuff for important things like  fishing reels, dental drills and, oh yeah, skateboard bearings!  These guys have their priorities straight in my book!  Never heard of them?  You’re not paying attention.  The best kept secret in skating!

Hi all!  We had a great session at Hobby yesterday and had the opportunity to introduce our parks & recreation supervisor to the sight and sounds of giant slalom.  He is super nice and was so blown away, he volunteered to blow off all the debris on the full length of the course to keep us safe.  Later, he returned to share the experience with his fine son.  Slalom brings out the best in people and we thank you, Bobby, for all you are doing for us!

We shot a few little videos and compiled them here.  The course was wicked fast, and after some tweaking, the boys ran strong!  The elevator shaft means business!

The host hotel, the Best Western Plus – Hanes Mall, has a block of 30 rooms set aside for our racers, good until September 1st.  They ask that when making reservations, to call the hotel directly and ask for the US Slalom rate.  Call (336) 893-7540 or Toll Free: 855-811-1691.  Booking online through Expedia or any of the other booking sites does not guarantee the rate of $75.99 for either 2 queen beds or a king, and does not count towards the group block.  This rate is good for 4 people per room.
